The LCC Student Coordinating Committee


	Kristin Zorn SCC Chair	Hi! I'm Kristin Zorn and I'm a senior studying biochemistry. I live in Nashotah, WI and grew up all over the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin. I love country music, Grey's Anatomy, and fishing! I’m a Wisconsin girl at heart and love Madison in the summer. I am crazy but that just makes life more interesting and I tend to talk A LOT! I believe that God has a plan for my future and know that everything happens for a reason and fully intend to live life to the fullest. My favorite part of the Lutheran Campus Center is the family of people that belong to it!
	Casey Sweeney Treasurer	I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying Spanish and Biological Aspects of Conservation. I grew up in the little, but beautiful, Green Lake, Wisconsin. My home church, Grace Lutheran, is in the neighboring town of Ripon. I am the only child in my family and I have one cousin that is also a senior at the UW. This summer I was able to travel to Guanajuato, Mexico for an 8 week study abroad program that counts toward my Spanish major. Of course I enjoy spending time at the LCC, but away from there and school I like variety of different things, one of them being Badger sporting events. I hope to meet you around the LCC and that way I can hear more about you!
	Marie Hoerchner Secretary	Hi! My name is Marie Hoerchner and I am a junior from Cedarburg, WI. I'm majoring in communicative disorders and I hope to be a speech pathologist in the future. I LOVE dancing, singing (especially in the LCC Praise Band!), Tanzania, pigs, drinking tea, and spending time with many wonderful people in my life. This year I'll be the secretary chair at the LCC and I'm excited to be even more involved at the campus center. The LCC is a great place to hang out with awesome people and eat delicious, free food. I'm looking forward to an amazing year of faith and fun!
	Casey Ulrich Outreach	Hello everyone! My name is Casey Ulrich and I am a senior studying secondary math education. I am originally from Rudolph, WI and love small towns, weird how I ended up in Madison. I love Madison and love the LCC. The LCC has some of the greatest people around and I enjoy every minute of being around them. I am the Outreach chair this year and I suppose that means you may see me running around campus trying to convince you the LCC is amazing. I’m a very outgoing person and may come on a little strong, but just let me know what I can do to make the LCC more appealing to new students. I look forward to year full of activities, worship, and meeting new people. Feel free to come up to me if you don’t know anyone; I would love to meet you! Hope to see you at the LCC sometime soon!!! (seriously the LCC rocks)
	Amy Larson Social Concerns	I am a Junior studying Civil Engineering. I’m from Milwaukee, yes I am actually from Milwaukee. I love running and yoga. I am the Hunger Intern for ELCA Jesus in the Marketplace at the Farmer's Market. I am also a docent at the Ingersoll Physics Museum. .My third job is cleaning the bathrooms at Ogg an Smith so if you live in the dorms, look out for me in your bathrooms! My favorite TV shows are Modern Family and Glee. My favorite book of all time is The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. My favorite subjects are French and Physics. I am the President of Poverty Stops Here, UW Madison Chapter. I love the Lutheran Campus Center and Thursday Lunches!
	Carlie Bence Volunteer Coordinator	Hi, everyone! My name is Carlie and I'm a 5th year senior studying Elementary Education, Spanish and English. I'm from Oconomowoc, WI, which means I love being on the lake in my free time. I also like running, scrapbooking, baking, and spending time with my family. I'm looking forward to coordinating some exciting events for the LCC this school year and also meeting YOU!
	Steven Nemcek Social Activities	Hi everyone! My name is Steven Nemcek, and I am a sophomore biochemistry and political science student. I live in Brookfield, which is just outside of Milwaukee. I work at a research lab on campus, and I study otolaryngology. I love sailing, playing soccer, reading, discussing politics and spending time at the LCC. I also love to meet new people, so don’t be afraid to say hi!
	Rita Argus Education	Hello! I’m Rita Argus and I’m a junior majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I’m from a small township outside of Johnson Creek Wisconsin. Besides being on the SCC, I am also involved in Engineer's Without Boarders-Rwanda and Poverty Stops Here. This past summer I was in China for 8 weeks with a study abroad program. I am excited to be education chair for this year and appreciate any ideas and comments!
	Ellie Higgins Worship	Hi Everyone! My name is Ellie Higgins and I will be starting nursing school this fall at UW. I’m from Cedarburg, WI and love hanging out at the LCC, singing in the praise band, ballroom dancing, running, playing guitar and going Up North. I studied abroad in Montpellier, France for the Spring 2011 semester so I also love speaking French and eating yummy French food. I apologize in advance for talking about France way too much when I meet you all. In addition to the LCC I am involved in Madtown Ballroom Dance Team and Poverty Stops Here. I’m so excited about being your worship chair this year so please let me know if you have any ideas for themes or song requests!
	Emily Wottreng Communications	Hi! My name is Emily Wottreng and I am the Communications Chair for the Lutheran Campus Center. I will be a junior this fall majoring in Elementary Education, and I'm originally from Verona, WI. In my free time I like to burn things, cause a ruckus in lectures, and run through the halls of my high school (while screaming at the top of my lungs). Justtt kidding ;) I really love my friends and family, drawing/painting, playing piano, cooking, running, biking, and re-watching old episodes of Lost (though now I've just started getting into Dexter). I basically live at the LCC so when you see me be sure to stop by and say hi!
	Jamie Lamers Hospitality	Hey my name is Jamie Lamers and I'm from Appleton, WI. I'm a fifth year senior in the Business School, majoring in Finance. I'm also majoring in English, which is a really random second major but it works! During the semester I teach dance to little kids with MSCR, which is more of a hobby than a job. I love to watch sports, but unfortunately I'm far too uncoordinated to play them. I live for Wisconsin football and go to every Packer game I possibly can. I'm also a huge fan of auto-racing. Whether it's watching my brother or dad or watching NASCAR on TV, I love it!
	Jared Schmitthenner Grad Student Rep	My name is Jared Schmitthenner and I am a graduate student in Physics. I'm originally from San Diego, California, and got my undergraduate education at UCSB. I enjoy board games, playing percussion, and making nerdy jokes about math and physics. I also love hanging out with cool people from the LCC! If you have a grad student-related idea or suggestion, I would love to hear from you.
	David Schultz Board of Directors	Hello, my name is David Schultz and I am a senior studying actuarial science. I have journeyed all the way from Madison, WI to attend school here at the UW. I enjoy traveling, camping, watching sports, making insanely hilarious puns, and bacon. I also enjoy a good card game or board game in my spare time, especially Euchre or Sheepshead. During my time at the LCC I have enjoyed meeting a lot of awesome people and taking part in a variety of fun activities.
	Betty Petrovich Board of Directors	Hi everyone! My name is Betty Petrovich, and I am a sophomore pre-pharmacy student. I live in Brookfield, which is just outside of Milwaukee, but grew up in Wauwatosa, WI. I work at Fresh Madison Market during the school year. I love being outside and exploring campus and spending time at the LCC. I also love to talk and to meet new people, so don’t be afraid to say hi!
	Carin Morrell Board of Directors	Hi, my name is Carin Morrell and I'm a graduate student studying political journalism. I'm originally from Baltimore, Maryland and am new to Madison. I live upstairs in the LCC, so you'll see me around a lot. Even though I'm new to the board, my family has a long history at the LCC - my parents even got married in the Multipurpose Room! In my free time I sing in the LCC praise band. I also enjoy exploring the area and watching movies. Feel free to track me down at the LCC - I'd love to meet you!
